Laboratory testing for game birds helps to identify when diseases are present, allowing to treat, manage and plan prevention.

The laboratory works in conjunction with Poultry Health Services game bird vets, a team of over 25 game bird vets, who work across the UK. The team can advise on what tests are relevant for your specific case and arrange for the testing kits to be sent to you. They can also arrange for pre paid envelopes to be organised for you to return the samples to the laboratory.

Routine testing of birds can help identify if diseases are present, allowing for appropriate management and early treatment with medication, where appropriate. We can perform routine PCR and serology testing for Mycoplasma and also screening for coccidian oocysts in fresh faeces.

We offer breeder and hatchery testing plans;  from breeders health screening to hatchery hygiene and break out analysis to ensure the best possible performance of your operation. Testing also supports other clinical work, such as post-mortems, by helping to confirm a diagnosis by the vets.

Our Digilock online reporting system ensures a fast turnaround, meaning you can get accurate results quickly and you get all your records on-line, with free access to your results whenever you need them.
